My husband, Tom, and I came up with the idea for Serene Comfort in 2003 after spending time running Acorn Products - a comfort slipper and accessory manufacturing business in Maine. While there, we gained valuable experience in listening to what our customers really wanted and answering those needs by developing products that offered timeless quality and comfort.  I realized I wanted to share with women everywhere the type of at-home comfort apparel I had come to appreciate while living and working in Maine. SereneComfort.com was the way. After our daughter Serena was born, we returned to my home state of Massachusetts and plans to develop our online company, Serene Comfort, began in earnest.

Many people have asked us how we became the biggest retailer of wicking sleepwear for hot flashes and night sweats! At the same time that we began searching trade shows and manufacturers to find the most comfortable sleepwear... I started experiencing sleep disruption due to night sweats and wondered whether there was a sleepwear that could help.  We discovered Wicking J. Sleepwear - a company that had developed a great line of products made from fabrics used for athletes for moisture control. While using wicking sleepwear, my sleep (and well-being) improved and our customers clamored for more... so we began to investigate and test every brand that offered moisture management sleepwear from performance fabrics. Today, we have pulled together a great collection from the top proven brands of hot flash pajamas, wicking sleepwear, night sweats sheets and pillowcases - a one-stop shop for night sweats relief....naturally!

Today, we seek manufacturers whose fine products live up to our unrelenting standards for comfort, impeccable quality, wonderful fabrics, timeless styling, and great value.
